I love photographing engagement sessions. It is one of the most exciting times that a couple will ever have and they are so full of love and hope for the things to come in the future marriage with the person who is their partner and best friend. It is usually a one hour portrait session (but can be for two hours if you want) in a favorite location that has some meaning to the couple. The couple get to show off the ring that the guy got for the girl. A favorite of many couples is to order an 11x14 sized print of their favorite photo and have it framed with a large white mat surrounding the photo. Then the couple display the framed photo on an easel at their wedding so all their friends and family can sign there name and well wishes around the photo. Later many couples switch out their engagement photo in the frame to one of their wedding and hang it in their new place together. I can also create custom Save the Date cards using the engagement photos for you to send to your guests announcing the wedding date in advance (so people can plan ahead to attend your wedding). And another cool item I have added for my clients to be able to purchase, is a great guest book album using your favorite images from your engagement session. It is interactive and asks fun questions of your guests (like, "What is a great date night idea for us?") and they fill in the pages with their remarks.
