I was so happy to get to be a part of baby Josiah's 1st birthday party after all, I had chronicled his first year in a few portrait sessions and watched him grow up. His parents have been my friends for years (we met in Bible Study more than 4 years ago) and I had the privilege of even photographing their wedding. Josiah came into a home where he had 3 older sisters and they all adore him and nicknamed him "Jo Jo". You can see his introduction to the world when he was just 3 weeks old in this posting Welcome Baby Josiah!. Now on to the photos from the party!

Janelle has done this great idea for each of her children -
at their 1st birthday, she and all her friends and family
write to Josiah for him to read (and re-read) as he grows up.
She gets a big frame with a large white mat and markers
and has everyone write their little letters to the
child all around the photo.
